New Bowl Outlook

Bleak unless we win out. In fact with ECU, UTEP and Southern Miss all winning we may get mathematically shut out of all 5 CUSA BowlGames because there would be 5 seven win teams (Tulsa, UH, UTEP, ECU and Southern Miss which must be taken before any 6 win team). Looking at the schedules of ECU, Southern Miss and UTEP that is now a very real possibility. Rice also could get to 6.

I think we've got a pretty good OPPORTUNITY to beat Tulsa next
Saturday.

IF we had held UH on 3rd and 19 inside the 10 in the 4th, we
would've won :!:

This really blows...the schedule we're in for next year isn't going to help our prospects, either.

Let's all hope that Willis, Sanders, and our RB group come back even stronger next year and that our D can recover from its losses.

What a disappointment this season has become...same old same old

I heard that the CHARMAN Toilet Bowl officials are thinking about giving us a bid invite. haha But seriously, lets just win one of the last two and see what happens.

Sorry, froggie we actually gave your tads a pretty good game in Ford
Stadium in Dec 03.

That's before knocking off your ranked butts in Sept. 05 :!:

I believe the wording of the rule is that 7-5 teams will be "considered" over a 6-6 team. Word is that NO Bowl reps were at the game and still want us if we can get to 6 wins.

I've already stated that we'll lose our last 2. Note injury report in another thread.

Nice insight, pal. I knew PonySnob woud show up after a loss. He loves to pile on. I was hoping your Froggies would blow their 24-0 lead in ABQ.

Absolutely right....that was the pathetic play that sealed our fate...except, it wasn't only inside our 10, it was on the 1/2 yard line and he threw the pass from corner of their own endzone...I still can't believe that play happened. Ugh.

and what about the 14 points and about 160 yards that came after that play. LOSER Excuses!!!!!!!!!!!! Gee I wished I'd known that the game was over after that play in the endzone so I could have beat traffic. I'm sure the players could have used that time to get ready for the Homecoming Dance too. You people are nuts. That play did not cost us the game. The Game was still ours to win. You can search every championship team and find obstacles that were overcome 10 times worse than SMU faced after that play. This team simply did not rise to the occassion. UH played like the champions they are in nut-crunch time. That's why you are crying today. UH deserved to win regardless of that play.

Ah the ponyfan's mantra, "If only...."

Let's not forget "if we would have beaten NTSU...." And "if Willis hadn't beaten up that gay guy right before UTEP...." And "if ECU had not played out of its mind at home...."
