Getting beat is one thing ...

Postby mr. pony » Sat Nov 11, 2006 9:32 pm

But why do we allow the two UH guys with the big UH and Texas flags to intentionally run through our players exiting the field after Houston's extra points?

Our players were having to dodge these guys all day and nobody put a stop to it.

It was completely intentional on their part. They could have run around anywhere but where they did.

This was total in-our-face b---sh--, not to mention unsafe for our players - and we put up with it.

Mr. Orsini, this crap must not be allowed at our house.

Think we'd get away with running Peruna through the home team players anywhere on the road??

Next time let's just pull out the Sabres and Stormtropper Boots. Its a game-its part of the pageantry. All kinds of schools run something across the field-including Peruna. Let your defense stop them or hold your water.

I don't think opposing team's spirit groups should be allowed on one's home field. I agree with the original poster. I thought it was a bit rude. Run the flags in your own endzone and along your side but not on the main part of the field. I remember an Army guy sticking a flag on our field and being pretty ticked about that.

This was run intentionally through our players each time.

Again, try that s--t at Alabama, Arkansas or even UTEP - anywhere.

I think it reflects our losing mind set.

'Yeah, come on in here and punk us, we don't care.'

I'm not saying the players should have done anything about it.
They shouldn't have to.

It's the school's job to keep these t*rds out of their faces during a game.

Go back home, and take the wheels off of your house.

I would hardly call that an a** beating. The Willis to Mapps fumble that late in the game and that deep in our end of the field pretty well sealed our fate. A 10 point win with 7 of those points coming off of that situation is not an a** beating. We all knew that beating Houston was going to be hard if possible at all. It was an exciting game and we played a very competitive game. With a few breaks our way we win...but it was not to be. Let's start concentrating on the Tulsa game and get as many fans as possible out to support the team next weekend. We still have a chance to be 7 - 5 and that would be great.
