Brandon Bonds - WARRIOR

Postby Ponymon » Sun Nov 12, 2006 8:34 pm

What a PLAYER! Anyone that could play over half the game with a dislocated knee cap deserves to be honored as one of our finest! Brandon, you have given it your all for the program and deserve to be recognized at the banquet following the season for all that you have done for the team. KUDOS! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

Couldn't agree with you more. Haywood and Rogers get the headlines, but thanks to Bonds and Cory Muse, we have four OUTSTANDING defensive linemen. Bonds is tough as nails.

the d-line is absolutely electric game in and game out, one or two of em on every play seems to almost sack the qb. it's hard to visualize what's gonna happen next year when three of those studs are gone, gonna miss those guys

Haywood was absolutely unblockable, and UH had little in the way of an answer for Bonds before he was hurt. They were able to get through a gap inside (before cutting outside) on the second and third long touchdowns.

Nice choice of words, ponymon .... "warrior" is exactly the word Cory Muse used to describe Bonds in the post-game media conference. If his words didn't show how much the rest of the line respects Bonds, the fact that Muse and Justin Rogers stayed out on the field and helped carry him off the field did. They easily could have gone to the bench for a drink of water, but they stayed out there with their fallen brother. What a tough guy Bonds is. He gets the fewest headlines of the defensive linemen, but he is an absolutely vital cog in the defensive line. Hope his knee is OK.

Muse is the only one coming back from the front line in 2007.

Brandon is, and has been one of the reasons the D-line is good.

He is big, and strong and it takes at least two to block him. That makes things easier on the others.

Brandon will give his last ounce of blood for this team and they know it.

Great player and from a great family.
