He is "celebrating" the 20th anniversary of cracking the biggest story in his career. I f'n hate that guy.

Dale said he wasn't proud they aired that cuz so many good people were involved...what a load of crap hanson. You aired that to "get ahead" in that profession of yours.

He said it was story that had to be told, and they had worked very [deleted] breaking that story. He also showed some footage from the story, including David Stanley saying he was paid. He also said he was proud that they broke the news. What a %%% ****!

What a pantload. I guess it depends on who his audience is, because wasn't he also quoted saying he was glad he "broke" the story (which is amusing, because that would mean he actually did some reporting). He says whatever he thinks the audience he's facing wants to hear. That story is the only reason that joke of a "journalist" has a career. Babe Laufenburg offers more actual information in his first morning belch than Hansen could ever give.

Does anyone know specifically why Hansen is persona non grata with the Cowboys and the Ticket?

he quit both jobs he had with them not to mention he verbally attacked Barry Switzer or did Switzer attack him-both lost credibility in the court of public opinion. So I assume from the statements on here that everybody thinks Bill Clements was right in continuing to pay players after our 5th probation in 15 years? Boy that moral high ground some of you stake out is pretty low. Not one person seems to question the premise that Dale Hanson was a [deleted] for running the story?

SMU was guilty, but why does he keep bringing it up, and wasting his short segment time? He seems to take such joy in everytime he brings it up.

Like him or not sunshiners, Hanson did what any sportscaster in the world worth a damn would have done when David Stanley handed this story to him on a silver platter. Grow up people, SMU deserved the death penalty when they got it, and Dale Hanson was NOT responsible for the death penalty.

We must acknowledge our history and learn and grow from it. To ignore it is sheer ignorance.
All that aside, Hansen is a complete waste of time on the air. He pretty much steals money at this stage of his career.

Everyone needs to do what I started doing 20 years ago, and have not changed. Watch 4, 5 or 11. I do not and will not watch Dale Hansen, and from the news ratings, I am not alone.
If you don't watch Dale, you will not see all the stupid self centered, self promoting sports stories this idiot continues to air.
If it wasn't for ponyfans, I wouldn't even know he ran any stories on SMU.
Save yourself the grief, CHANGE THE CHANNEL.
Just send 'da money.
