The rumors of R. C. Slocum waiting in the wings if things don't end well for us are scary! Dear God we just found an offense that is a touch exciting and can actually score some points.

I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep about the idea of Slocum ending up here. Hopefully, we won't even be conducting any kind of search, anyway!

I sat next to a very good pop warner coach at the game on Saturday. He brought his entire staff with him. Clearly something is up.

wasn't Bob Davie a good D-coordinator at a Big XII school (a&m) before doing the same at ND, and ultimately found out that perhaps he was a better d-coordinator than head coach?
I would hope we've learned that lesson already

I saw several coaches in the press box. My stealth reporter skills told me they had names like Larry Edmondson, Clarence James, Scott Vestal, etc.
I saw some Houston coaches up there, too. Several of them.
