Almost 3 days from kickoff and I thought I'd get this started since its been kind of a slow week on the board.
Don't know much about Tulsa but I feel they have a pretty good balanced attack. They key to beating TU is Paul Smith. Lets do what K-State did to Colt, knock him out the game.
We win because PB tells the team before the game "win one for my coaching career at SMU" a la "win one for the giper" speech.

My superstitious streak of picking SMU to lose has proven worthless. So I'm picking the Ponies straight up.

With backs against the wall, SMU has done pretty well the last few years. Ponies win 30-20.

What's your problem? You've got a handful of folks here who defend your SMU loyalty, and you come back with a prediction like that? Is it supposed to be funny? If so, it failed.

Oh, all right. I'll behave. And I do appreciate the support.

We become bowl eligible. Morstead hits the game-winning 41-yard field goal with 13 seconds to play.
And for what it's worth,
Ohio State 22
Michigan 19
Jim Tressel goes to 5-1 against Michigan and the Buckeyes play the BCS championship.
And...
Minnesota 35
Iowa 30
The Gophers get Floyd back as Mansfield Summit product Deon Hightower --playing linebacker for the Gophers -- sacks Iowa QB Drew Tate, another Texas product, twice.

Tulsa has secured a bowl berth, and is out of the CUSA title race, so Tulsa is playing for just another win. SMU's coaches are playing for their jobs! The team is playing for a winning season, and a bowl birth. This game means more to SMU, plus the home field advantage.

SMU 45 Tulsa 24
2 reasons for my theory
1.talking to a buddy of mine today who finished playing at TU last year, said they're already bowl eligible, they cant repeat as conference champs, and they know they will finish the season beating Tulane... so this might be a game they won't get up for
2.the other night I beat Tulsa with SMU 80-12 on ps2... DM broke the record for rushing yards in a game & rushing touchdowns in a game (and had 52 attempts) willis throws for a modest 250, Joe gets 2 picks & and a blocked extra point... a little unrealistic but i had it on heisman so hopefully this is a good omen

using a video game to predict an outcome of game? not using any stats? you are really looking for a reason to pick smu.
