Bowling Prediction

I'm going out on a limb and predicting that SMU beats Tulsa and Rice to go 7-5 and hence to a bowl. I base this prediction on cold hard facts which I will under no circumstances reveal. Anyone who doesn't agree with me is probably not a true SMU fan or lives in Memphis or Baton Rouge. So stop worrying. We are going bowling.

Nice. I like bold stances like this. I wish I could make one or say that I agree, but I live in Baton Rouge.

Arkansas 31
LSU 20
Darren McFadden runs all over the LSU defense.

Be careful. The SMU-content-only police may be watching.

It's be our little secret. SHHHHHHHH. My wife went to UA, so look it at this way. When UA wins, I win. When they lose, I lose.

My wife is a Miss. St. grad. So thank God me "winning" is not tied to football.

Key is Marshall vs. UTEP (at Marshall) if Marshall wins then UTEP will be 6-6, If ECU beats Rice (likely but who knows) they are 5-6 going into our game, then even if we lose to Tulsa the Rice game may be for the NO bowl, or no bowl.
If we win out and UTEP wins out there will be a choice between the two for the last spot.

Fun game. Arkansas' passing game was a mess. Boy you think back to the LSU-Florida game when those TDs were called back before Russell fumbled at the 1.

No pity here for the Hogs. They started the ball rolling that destroyed the SWC and led to all of the conference realignments. What would the SEC, ACC, Big XII, and BE look like if FSU or GT had joined the SEC instead of Arkansas. There still would have been realignments, but they would have been in different directions. LSU, OU and perhaps either Nebraska, Tulane or OSU would have been merger targets for the SWC. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, oh well.
