Got an update from the SMU ticket office this morning...

Thus far, we've sold a grand total of 56 $1 PonyFans tickets.

That is, in a word, PATHETIC!!!!

Come on folks, lets get with it!!! We screw this up and the Athletics Department is never going to give us any credibility again... Much less will they ever bend over backwards to hook us all up.

Stallion, I catch enough crap over your rants that you ought to pony up for 100 tickets all by yourself.

There are about 12,000 "uniques" that read this site every month, so if every PonyFan who enjoys this free site every month just brings two friends, we could sell out the whole stadium!!

Just bought 10, so bump the number up to 66.

Even though I have a ticket, I may buy a few and just hand them out. Seriously, 56 is pretty bad.

alaric and lugus 830 each said they bought ten a piece on the other thread. And abezontar said he bought 10 in this thread. And a guy on the horn fans thread said he bought five.

So that's 35... who else has already taken advantage of the offer?

Let's at the very least please get this over 200.

Not that I would do anything unethical, but you could buy 10, go in and out of the stadium a few times and boost the attendance number by a few. Not that I would do that.

Anybody who typically buys a ticket should go ahead and spend the nine bucks they normally use for one ticket and get an extra 8 and hand them out to people. That's what I'm going to do with my extras.

Actually, they'd be buying 3 extras.

I can't tell you how many jokes I have gotten since I sent an e-mail around the office. Worst part is, I only have the power to fire two of the worst offenders.
