Im not calling DaMyron back by any means but he showed something against Tulsa. Lets keep in mind what he was last year before we jump on the Mapps bandwagon. Go DM.

It was easily his best game of the year. He hit the holes quickly and trusted his line and more importantly, himself. That 20-yard run in the fourth quarter was his best run of the season. If he does that against Rice, I really like our chances down there.

It is not just Martin running better, it is the addition of a true running scheme to the offense. A lot of things changed Saturday. Passes down the middle, option runs with 2 tight ends, and an upsurge of energy and urgency (that's dedicated to you Blog) that has not been seen this year. It is not just the success of those area but the fact that the Rice coaches have to now expand their preparation for the upcoming game at a time that they wanted to concentrate on bringing a new QB up to speed. Everything is lining up well for SMU and this is a time that they have to take advantage of the opportunity they have been given to close this season out in a successful way. We will not be favored and probably should not be but there is no reason SMU should lose this game.
