Protect the Ball, Stop the Run.

It looks to me like that's the whole key to the game this weekend. Justin and DeMyron should be able to smash the Rice defense at will. We should have a shot at really running up the score against a terrible scoring defense. That leaves it up to the Defense to stop Rice from returning the favor.

Lucky for us, Rice relies heavily on their Running game to fuel their rather pedestrain 350 YPG in total offense. Our Defense needs to be able to live up to their #1 ranking against the run, and not fall into whatever killed us v. Houston.

That leaves the real wildcard: Turnovers. Rice has lived off Points after turnovers. Justin can not cough the ball up and give the Owls a short field. If we can take care of the ball, I think the rest of the game will take care of itself.

It becomes even more important when facing the conference leader in turnover margin. Yikes!
