don't think I've seen it posted here with did you guys realize that all 9 teams in the traditional SWC except Baylor are Bowl eligible. UT and Arkansas shooting for the Top 5 or Top 10, UH, TCU, A&M and Tech with at least shots at the Top 25. SMU and Rice shoot for a Bowl Game.

by the way, how did Army smack Baylor in Waco and then turn around and get walloped by Rice in West Point? Baylor was a decent team this year. Also Rice is 6-2 against this year against everybody not named Texas, Florida State and UCLA. I wouldnt be surprised if Rice has a few beasts in the trenches come Saturday.

That says alot about the huge number of quality Texas High School players who sign with D1 schools every year.

speaking of beasts in the trenches, one guy having a pretty good season for Rice is that Courtney Green guy that I know Phil Bennett wanted pretty badly a few years ago. He has had 13 Tackles for Losses and 7 sacks. Green and Armstrong are two guys that were close to becoming Mustangs.

Or Courtney Gordon (from Gladewater, Texas)

Right Gordon. As for why Baylor sucks-"Recruiting is relative to your competition"-Baylor has probably finished dead last in Big 12 South recruiting for about 10 straight years-there is a direct correlation.
