I have no idea. It's really hard to claim typo since the u and the t aren't next to each other. Could be just a NTSU fan, they like calling us that. Whatever makes them feel clever, I suppose.

Just seems a bit juvenile for a national website....anyway, good luck against rice this weekend, hope to see you guys come out with a W.

If it's intentional, yes it's juvenile. If it's a mistake, then it's very unprofessional; they should have at the very least checked for typos and mistakes like that. I'm thinking la of professionalism is the case, I think I remember seeing the Michigan-Ohio State score listed as 41-29 (which is completely wrong).

Check out that Western Michigan logo. Look familiar???? Orsini would get a big high five from me if he would kill that generic new logo of ours.

I assume the first SMU listing is a t=tie with Rice, waiting on this weekends game. The second one was meant to be MSU, Michigan State

Well then one would assume that Rice would become Ricet in that case. I would think that SMU* and Rice*, giving an explanation at the end of the poll of what the * means, would be better than SMUt. Can you even have a tie in a poll like that? Because I'm not sure you can.

SI has a bunch of idiots working for it. Remember the article about a month ago with a headline saying an SMU player was arrested for some felony? They meant to say USM.
For what it is worth, I actually wrote 2 emails to them and they corrected it and thanked me. Here is his email address:

I will write him, too.

Perhaps the t means Texas as opposed to Michigan. But then why not put SMUm for MSU. You think they've got some Aggies working at SI?

I first waw this joke in 1984 at Baylor of all places, when one of the greek groups had a sign that said "You can't spell SMUT without SMU". Thought it was hilarious, until Baylor was suddenly leading in the 4th quarter in the rain. That did not faze the great Don King, however, who proceeded to lead an @ss-whipping comeback capped off by a game-winning strike to the great Ron Morris in the back of the endzone with time waning. Good times, back in 1984, last time we made the post-season in fact. We should try to change our SMUtty history this weekend.
