I want the Governor's Cup.

Besides, win or lose, that Coach of the Year trophy surely is headed to Todd Graham.

If we win, Rice probably won't go bowling, will finish 6-6 and will be 4th in the West (or 3rd depending on Tulsa's game with Tulane).

SMU is 7-5 and going to a bowl for the first time since 1984.

...no way Graham wins CotY unless he beats us.

If we win Saturday....

SMU from 5-6 to 7-5 with a weaker schedule than the previous season.

Rice from 1-10 to 6-6 with losses to UT, Florida St. and UCLA. And Rice has not been to a bowl since 1961 FYI, so just for them to be bowl eligible is a more far fetched concept than the same for us.

I would certainly say someone could make a pretty darn good case for Graham. Rice wins, slam dunk Graham for COTY. SMU wins and Bennett has a strong case too. Briles has a decent case as well, but not as compelling as either of these teams finishing 7-5 and going to a bowl I would think.

Umm... we would all be tied for 2nd at 5-3 (assuming Tulsa beats Tulane).

Head to head gives us 2nd in that scenario.

Technically yes, but after first place places don't really matter all that much. Regardless, Rice would not be fourth. They hold the tiebreaker over Tulsa as well. Rice is guaranteed at least third.

I think Graham ought to win it either way. What he has done in his first year at Rice is amazing. Bennett has done a good job too but I would give it to Graham.

If he beats Rice then he deserves it more than Dodge

Todd Dodge is pretty damn good, but I don't think his coaching at SLC qualifies him for CUSA CotY honors.

PB has not only gotten us to bowl eligibility but built the program as well. If one takes a longer term perspective, he deserves it. 8)
