Appears to have had too much Mexican food at lunch. They are took a siesta in the first quarter. Blocking against a 3 man front is atrocious!

The blocking on the second and one from the one yard line for Cedric Dorsey was ATROCIOUS! Come on guys. Get your ACT together!

Two separate times we have had first and one from the one yard line and have not been able to make it. Our offensive line is a REAL weakness just like it was last year! I hope that there is some improvement next year! Anyone have an idea of the prospective starters?

They haven't run blocked all year!!!!!

The O-Line is the most important part of this team. A Good OL can create holes to run through, which establishes a run game that balances our offense, as well as give good protection to Willis. If Willis has time to throw, he can be dangerous. They need to fix this more than anything next year. Our offense is whats going to have to win us ball games next year.

I don't understand the offensive line (start with the fact that I've never played). It's not like 15 years ago, when we rolled out 250-pounders and asked them to play with the big guys other teams brought at them. We've got size. Coach Vinklarek must know what he's teaching -- he did coach in the NFL for a while, so I assume his reputation is earned. Personally, I like offensive lines like those traditionally fielded by teams like Nebraska or the Chicago Bears: big, strong, tough, unaware of the elements, blowing snot bubbles (you're welcome) and blowing defensive linemen off the ball. Why that doesn't happen now, I don't know. Lobo, Peveto and Burley are 300-plus, and Poynter is damn close. Chase Smith, I think, will add a major element of toughness, that "brawler" mentality. I like Darrin Johnson, and he looks like the absolute prototype for the position, but Smith could be a real mauler. Since he protects Willis's all-important "blind side," I hope he gets there fast. Based on his strength and toughness we've seen, I think he's well on his way.

because you place way way too much emphasis on size and not enough on athletic ability in an offensive lineman. Any Coach can find hundreds of offensive lineman with size. Every Division 1A school has at least 5 "big guys" who are 6-5, 290+. SMU has patched together a bunch of kids very few of which had other options. This is the result.

I agree-- athletic ability is far more important than just bulk. But Smith, Poynter, Burley, etc., are supposed to be very athletic, no?

Stallion, where the hell do you live. There are no 300 lbers just walking the streets of the metroplex. I am 44 years old and way 248 and find few people bigger than I am???
