While we're waiting for that Spring Practice Countdown Clock to hit the ZERO's, let's have some fun! Who do you consider the GREATEST MUSTANG FOOTBALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME?

Ramon Flanigan? He didn't play on a great team, but he was pretty remarkable, just for staying alive through the years.

Gary Hammond. Played QB, RB and WR. Excelled at all three. Almost a modern day Doak.

Some consideration. One has to consider many things when one considers the BEST football player. Is it scoring or stats or great players at a position?

Louie Kelcher also comes to mind.
Then there is Jim "Hacksaw" Duggan whose fame really occured after Mustang football.
Raymond Berry and Forest Gregg also where great footballers.
Jerry Norton was a great all around player as well. And in the days of two way players

It is going to be a long hot summer. Why don't we do a "all-star" team for each decade? Each nomination should include a brief comment of support, so that we can refresh our memories about a great deal of Mustangs we have forgotten about? For instance, I cannot recall as single mention of the M&M backs, that really began our resurgance of our running game.
