obviously the die hards on this board will support this program whenever we play a game...but you can't deny (if you are the least bit objective) that Rice, Houston, Tulsa, USM and ECU deserve bids before SMU does. Assuming UTEP wins tonite, they deserve a bid before SMU

If any SMU fan were a "fair weather fan", NONE of them would be here, because the weather hasn't been fair for SMU in 20 years. There hasn't been a season end on a good note since the 80s. Same old [deleted], every year... if something can go wrong, it will. After vowing to quit SMU football after the UNT game, I got suckered into believing once again... and look where it got me.

Give it a rest! Your little kiss [deleted] routine is getting old. It is OK to bad mouth your team. We invest so much in this crap that it is our right. Look at what Bennett has had: the time he has wanted, the recruits he wanted. Bennett is a great guy and I wish him the best, but he is not a good coach, he has proved that again and again.

Your little sunshiner act is stupid. Stop putting down fans that have probably put more into this program than you ever have and don't want to settle for a 6-6 record (with a weak schedule) and maybe, just maybe squeak into a third tier bowl.

Well put. We as fans deserve more than this! I have suffered this same heartache for over 13 years. At least in the early 90's it was somewhat understandable. Now that we are far removed from the death penalty this result is unacceptible. Though not perfect, the administration has made strides in making changes to acceptance policies and there are no more excuses for this!

Rice will be playing in the FW bowl...the only bowl we have a shot at is NO bowl...that is New Orleans, not NO...

You would think New Orleans would want to help the city by bringing in the largest crowd following- that does not bode well for us in any matrix used to make a selection.
