Given his past off-the-field problems, you can forget this name. SMU's administration will NEVER consider him!

Great man but not the best. Rick is probably in Vegas now betting on who Ohio State will play in Glendale.

As long as we don't hire a D coordinator for the job I'm happy.

Larry Coker is available now and would be a very interesting choice. However, I doubt whether he or Neuheisel would be interested in a non-BCS school.

Coker? C'mon. I think he would take a high school gig a this point. I don't think he is the right hire at this point in time. He is a pariah right now. He needs to go underground for a while b/f resurfacing. Of course, he is no spring chicken, either.

If you don't think they would consider a non-BS (not a typo) then think back to George O'Leary. How quickly they fall from head coach of Notre Dame to UCF...

I have always felt that is why they have not asked me to coach.

He didn't have much choice after he was caught falsifying his resume!

Rick with a P is not much of an option. That is like saying Switzer might leave his couch in Norman to coach SMU.

Exactly my point, falsifying your resume, playing an NCAA tourney BB pool, "losing control of your program"... they all fall into the same boat, often looking for a place like SMU to start again...

I'll take Switzer, but wonder is suffering through another Death Penalty is worth it. Plus I'm not sure that we have the offensive line to run the Bone!

Don't even go there.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
