Did Anyone Notice?

What was the Official's marking the yards with? I never saw any Markers and Chains being used. I heard several guys say that there were times, that they questioned the yardage that the Official's had gave to Rice.

Would anyone know, how many SMU fans were there at the game? I was so proud to see so many showing up to support the players. The Players appreciated everyone cheering for them. It looked like we had as many fans or more than Rice did. The Band was great.

My heart went out for the Seniors.Yes, they have work hard to try to bring this program up. The Offence Coordinator's have let them down. If anyone needs to be replaced are those guys.(that is my 2cents worth). For now let Bennett stay for another year. He must and should clean House and should have done long time ago. There is talent there that has been totally wasted and it is wrong. I don't want to even get started on the subject.

I was sorry to hear Willis say those things in the paper. Those Seniors have paid their Dues over and over. His a freshman and has not. Shame on him. What about the Players that make a team? Bad timing to be saying anything like that. Putting himself above the team that just Lost. If one wants credit for being a good QB. He needs to take responsibility and be accountable for the lost and other games that we should have won. He sure wasn't his best in that game against Rice.
If he had thought it out. He could of said "I don't want Bennett fired or leave the team". It is good to back up your Coach. but to go to extreme's
saying -quote"I will transfer if Coach Bennett is fired". There could be consequences for that remark on down the line. After all, He is a freshman and He has a long, long way to become a real good QB and Leader, much less a great QB. Here I wanted to see him get the Freshman Award, Now I may reconsider that. I like him, his a good kid. But he has to mature. By the way the players do like Bennett, His a likeable guy to them.

I am not a Happy Camper and know that I will be upset over this game for days. I am going to get away from all of this. Next week-end, I am taking one of my Grandsons to Arkansas. Go Deer Hunting, so he can get his first Deer.

Nobody on the team should take the Willis comments personally. He's a young guy who was coping with a very frustrating loss. I daresay I don't know if I could have maintained any composure at all after a game like that. It's understandable that he was (is) upset. They all are. We, as fans, are too.

Third, and 1 killed us yesterday, and several other games this year.

Orsini needs to evaluate Burns not Bennett.

Upset, Believe me, MY Blood was on that Feild with Rice! Both of my Grandsons were fighting for everything they had.

Sorry, that what the Florida and LSU Coaches Said when they came to see Vincent and his Parents.

It will be a while for my other Grandsons. One is 13, two of them are 10 yrs old and 6 yr old. One of the 10 yr.old's that I am taking deer Hunting is a sharp shooter. SMU will have to wait for awhile for the rest of my guys. But We will always be SMU fans. Vincent , hopefully will get his chance to show what he really has to offer.

Met one of the younger one's at the game yesterday. My cousin was wearing my daughter's Bobby Chase jersey since she was back in Dallas at Rockettes Camp. Really nice kid. He asked why are you wearing my brothers jersey. We had to explain my 13 yr old daughters infatuation with Bobby. He thought that was pretty funny. Now if you have a grandson that is more her age that would make me a whole lot happier :-)

That is too cool. As the kido's say. You met Bryan Chase, He is 10 and he is such a sweet person and is a lot like Bobby. Bobby has had the nicest fans from this age group. What a wonderful complement to Bobby. Of all the People I know Bobby and Vincent are two of the most Humble people I know.

As someone who was at the game, the officials were fine. They didn't homer anything. Whining about the officials is losertalk anyway btw; please don't do it.

THE GAME WAS A HEARTBREAK! SMU WAS THE BETTER TEAM BUT MADE TO MANY MISTAKES. #81 FOR RICE WAS THE DIFFERENCE. MADE PLAYS ALMOST EVERYTIME THE BALL THROWN TO HIM. WILLIS HAD ROUGH GAME. HE HAD A BREAKOUT YEAR BUT DID NOT HAVE HIS BEST GAME YESTERDAY. FIRST AND GOAL FROM THE ONE (TWICE) AND NO TOUCHDOWN ON EITHER OCCASSION KILLED US.

SMU wasn't the better team yesterday or during the CUSA season. Rice deserved to win. SMU deserved to lose. They earned it.

Damn straight about the Chase boys. Two damn good football players and workers. Guess who is on the field before and after practice with J-Will, the Chase boys. Guess who was there before the season started working out on their own with J-Will, the Chase boys. Guess who was there after the suspension was lifted and J-Will practiced late that day, the Chase boys. This type of dedication is what will make the difference the next 3 years, not coaching changes. We need more players like J-Will and the Chase brothers. People who love football. Like PB??

Perhaps I do not understand your chains and markers statement. Even on my blurry internet picture I could see the chains and makers. Rest assured they were there. I think the officiatiing was fine on both sides. Wish there had not been a hold on Martins run around end, but I think it was legit also. Take care of those grandkids, that is what makes life worthwhile. Mine are the joy of my life. Just too many girls so I can not get any of them a football scholarship.

Thank You so much, I am so grateful and truely Blessed that I have always been able to watch my guys play sports. They were awesome in High School and made games exciting. When they were born, I fell in Love with them and now their Young Men.I Adore them. They both have been throwing balls since they started walking. I always said I earned my bragging rights for I have had broken windows and lamps etc to prove it.
I am a very postive person, I know that all has not been in vain. That there will be a better future for all. Mustangs will over come all of this.
Those girls are adorable and yes, you are very blessed too.
