That was the most fired-up SMU crowd I've seen at a football game in a long time, especially for an away game. I'd guess the SMU crowd was at least the same size as the Houston crowd at Ford, far more than I expected. Great to see so many people cheering the team and staying positive throughout.

It was great. I dont think I have ever seen that many people at an away game and Im sure that the Mustangs noticed. Great for everyone that made the trip.

I'm sure quite a few Mustang fans traveled to Houston from Dallas, like us. However, I wonder how many of those in attendance at yesterday's game live in the greater Houston area (students home on holiday break and alumni) and were actually seeing their first SMU football game in awhile?
And does Houston have a larger SMU alumni base than the D-FW area?
True, SMU played UofH in the Bayou City last year...but I don't think as many were attracted to that game as there were to yesterday's game with the stakes that were on the line. Just wondering...

Also thanks to the Alumni Assoc./Mustang Club for all the great food under the white tent before the game. That was well done and planned. Those chili dogs, chips, and sodas/beer really "hit the spot" after the drive from Dallas. Very good idea selling SMU clothing items at away game for alumni/fans in those away cities.

I was nervous as I only saw one Pony car on the way down 75 but relieved when I got there. Lots of great spirit in the crowd. Seemed to me that we were loud. So glad the band was there. Hope the team could hear us and feel the energy. Unfortunately I broke my cowbell...

I wish that we would have won but what a great week and day to be a Mustang. All week long at work and any place that I went people were talking about the Mustangs, in a positive way. When was the last time that happen? I am guessing that Saturday was the largest away game crowd since the 97 TCU game. Loved seeing all of the red. Great job Mustang Band, it wouldn't have been the same with out you guys there. Also thanks to alll of the alums that gave money for the band to be there.

No, just have a sense of humor. How you choose to express it is your business.

Best away SMU fan support I have witnessed since the Pony Express Days. Now, if we could just get a win with a good crowd present it would help create more interest in supporting the Mustangs.
