While SMU's AD is playing word games with the few SMU fans that actually give a you-know-what about this program.....
Tulsa: bowling.
Houston: bowling.
ECU: bowling.
TCU: let's state the obvious...bowling...again.
Rice: bowling.
I guess we are in a decade long rebuilding process. As long as the kids play hard and attendance stays above a whopping average of 10,000 fans then why make changes.

I am telling you, they need to fire Burns and find a guy who can put lots and lots of points on that board....our O is whats going to win games next year, and we can't have anymore of this conservative crap.

Correction: " a two decade rebuilding period!" Once we set a goal most major things are accomplished "putting a man on the moon", "immunizations for polio", "identifying and treating HIV", etc. Obviously, these are far more important acheivements, but damn, fixing SMU football shouldn't be a 20+year task!

uhmm.. our offense isn't the problem. We scored more this year than in recent years. Not sure if you noticed the QB that broke all the records for TD's at SMU?
Check your Defense.. large holes for Mr. Aldridge of Houston.. and passing D that was quite embarrasing.

Yea—but that was partially due to an injury plagued DeMyron
and as for the defense...the big holes created for Mr Alridge (no first d) were due to the fact that our 2 interior DL's both seniors were out with major injuries

Well next season we will have neither. So the guys we had at DT when we got torched by Alridge will be the same we have next season (unless we end up with some JUCO DT's, which would be nice). We better get used to it.

Of course they will get better, but our D-Line was by far our biggest strong point this season and with the loss of 3 starters there will be a gaping hole there next year to go along with a poor secondary which equates to some issues on the defensive side of the ball.
