Interesting observation

Postby MustangIcon » Tue Nov 28, 2006 2:05 pm

It was pointed out to me last night that Orsini nor Turner attended the Men's basketball game vs the Paul Quinn School for the Deaf and Blind.
Thought I would post that observation since noone else has seemed to comment on it.

Not saying that means Bennett is staying or going but it leads me to believe that Orsini and Turner were involved in some sort of meetings that were more than just your every day run of the mill year end evaluations. I would guess that your typical year end evaluations would not occur during the Men's B-Ball game if you are the AD. Who knows, maybe Paul Quin is such an awful game to schedule that Orsini himself was not interested in watching.

Right, but Coach Bennett was there for a little while.

Yes, but it was basically even for the last 25 minutes of the game.

We held them to about 6 points in the first 15 minutes, and then we just got sloppy. We only outscored them by 1 in the second half.

We had more fouls and turnovers, and fewer steals than them BTW.

It was even because the guys fell asleep playing a YMCA team. With concentration, we would have beaten those guys by 50. They played hard, so they deserve credit for that, but they were obscenely overmatched. Coach D was right when he said it was our worst performance of the year.

It could be that it was Paul Quinn College which could only score about 10 points in the first half. While Orsini and Turner should be at every game, I wouldn't doubt that they might have better things to do (unrelated to Bennett) than watch the basketball team clobber this no-name school's basketball team.

Perhaps Orsini and Turner did not want to be constantly bothered with people asking questions about the head coach.

MustangIcon.....yeah a friend told me the same thing about Turner/Orsini being no shows at the hoops game when they both usually attend basketball games. Of course alot of people want to live in fantasy land and pretend that all these meetings are just routine .....NON-SENSE......Coach Phil will be released within the next 24 hours.
