MUSTANG Named Influential Car of the Past 50 Years!

For those that don't know, the 'myth' is that Lee Iacocca saw SMU play a game against Michigan (we lost
) but he was so impressed with our Mustangs that he told the players, in a post-game locker room visit, that the new vehicle - still on the drafting boards - would be named after our Mustangs because it would be 'sporty and fast', just like the players on the team!
