The 3 best Freshmen QBs this year had great years. Colt put up the best numbers, Riley led his team to a division title and ACC championship game, and Justin woke up the dreaded SMU football program with great performances in almost every game and broke SMU records.

JW didnt quite get us where Riley and Colt are BUT next year JWill will lead us to the bowl game we have been waiting for, for over 23 years ...

Riley Skinner is a stud.. everyone in Jacksonville knew that name.. he's going to be special. He's one of the most accurate passers I'd ever seen in a HS game, and he's a smart kid too.. Bolles is a wonderful school.. it's a shame we don't recruit FL better than we do.

Lets concentrate on recruiting Texas better then we do first...you know, where high school football is king and no other state can compare, not even the distant 2nd best state for high school recruits: Florida.

Anyone see the graphic showing Teams Without a 400 Yd Rusher?

Wake Forest was one, SMU was #2 on that list.

Dont know whos watching they game but they just showed a Chart of schools without a 400 yard rusher and SMU was on that list along with Wake...

Anyways I like the WF offense. We should put Mapps in the Shot gun and have him do the same that Moore(21) is doing for WF.

You're insane. I was born and raised here, and played high school football here, but if you think Texas is way ahead of Florida in terms of high school football talent, you're hitting the egg nog several weeks early. You could make the argument that it's close, but with all due respect to my home state, if you give me the top 100 players in Florida against the top 100 players in Texas, the Florida team will win a majority of the time. In addition, the second-tier guys in Florida would be all-state guys in a lot of other states - including Texas.
California, Pennsylvania and Ohio are right up there, too, in terms of states that crank out an army of stud players every year. The idea that Texas has more football talent than any other state just isn't accurate anymore. There are a lot of great players here, but there are a lot of great players in other states, too. The gap has narrowed, if not closed altogether.

There is certainly proof that Texas has more Division 1A scholarship recipients than any other State including Florida and has had every single year-a Top 100 contest might go either way depending on the year. Miami, Florida St and Florida just did a better job for decades keeping its talent in state while the SWC's appeal was declining.

to be fair, anyone know how many D-I scholarhips are awarded to kids from Texas, Fla, Ohio, etc... as a percentage of that state's population? Last time I checked, Texas had 3 of the top 10 largest cities in the country

What???

The three big Florida schools, who mainly recruit in Florida could not and have not been able to hold the two big Texas schools jock strap for the last 3-4 years. The two schools I am talking about is Texas and Oklahoma. Go get your 100 best Florida players out of jail and I will send you the top 100 recruits coming out of Texas. We can compare?

See what I have to live with in Arkansas. We were never told that Oklahoma had been annexed by Texas.

Oklahoma has always been apart of Texas...and Florida would not stand a chance bub. Go do some real research. Texas High School Football dominates...Just how it is. Your argument was valient but BS

Really? Remind me which Texas school is facing Ohio State for the national championship.

I'm not saying Florida will win it, but at least UF is playing for it. I'd call that more than holding the jocks of OU and UT.
