My only memory of him was in 2002 when he stupidly went for it on 4th down in the redzone of a tie game at Ford Stadium because the little pocket of La Tech fans were egging him on. He was clearly going to kick the field goal but let the crowd and players talk him into it. Not unlike Caughlin in NY yesterday. La Tech didn't convert and Bennett ended up getting his first win as a coach.

Don't rack your brain. I'll explain it for you.
Bicknell coached the Bulldogs the last time SMU played them.
And look at Bicknell's overall record. Just a little 'food for thought' for the PB supporters and detractors.
Again, don't strain your brain. It's only Monday.

Last week when other coaches around the nation were getting canned right-and-left those items were being posted on here.

Thanks for posting, it's interesting and relevant news to me, as LaTech were former conference mates.

Hey topic sherriff, you jumped in on the "Who should be in the national championship thread", and that thread REALLY has nothing to do with SMU Football.

My first memory was when they kicked our rears 30 something to about
3 in the first game we played against them, and my last is when they did
it again, not that bad, in Ford in 2004.

Mustang1965 don't worry about what someone thinks is relevant to post.
If ya don't like a post topic then ya don't have to read it!
It was clear as day via your title what the topic of the post was.
Instead of just skipping on to the next topic.... moan and complain.
Just last week we went through a major "should he stay or should he go" situation with our coach at SMU.....so yes I think it is relevant to post.
