The real question is, whos gonna coach them for their bowl game???

They havent even mentioned the OC or DC filling in for calling and managing practice. They might be using their field manager for head coach.

No one wants to coach Bama.

Hopefully no one takes that job and they have to opt for a high school coach or position coach. Based on the way they treated Shula, an Alabama alum and letterwinner, they deserve what they got from Franchione. Alabama should now be viewed as a stepping stone job.

They should let a random student coach. Or an English professor. Or a Ouija board...

thats the problem with coaching these days. the pressure by fans, students, boosters, and the board of trustees is so high, that any season remotely close to 'sub-par' just won't cut it, especially at 'Bama. That D was solid, but they had the most boring, unimaginative offense! I feel for whoever they land next.

They should let the student body have coaching try out for BAMA, that would show the students what they really know about football.

Not true, defensive coordinator Joe Kines was named head coach at Alabama immediately following the firing of Mike Shula. He has been running the practices and preparing the team for the bowl game.

And apparently you guys know nothing about the situation other than what you read on ESPN, I was a Mike Shula supporter but he had some terrible assistant coaches who were hired by Mike Price. Shula was fired because he refused to make any changes regarding his assistants.

Prediction, Jimbo Fisher will go to FSU as number one assistant and the heir apparent to Bobby Bowden.

UAB and Alabama blew it. Alums and trustees gone wild.

That just shows how desperate they are for a decent coach.

From what I have read, UAB didn't have a choice. I believe you could consider that one a railroad job
