Wasn't me..., I wanted him, yes.
So did SMU..., but he didn't even consider.

I had to endure my 6 year old nephew telling me how TCU was a pro team to day at Ball's Hamburgers while he recited all of the TCU players in the NFL - damn my brother in law

Has SMU ever put a player as dominate as Tomlinson into the NFL?

somewhat dominant? They are still chasing his NFL Single Season Rushing Record 25 years later and that includes Tomlinson who would have to run for 356 yards this weekend to break his record. Jeez we can't even give the slightest bit of credit to a truly legendary All-State, All SWC, All Pro, NFL Hall of Famer. Show a little pride in the Home Team and respect for an SMU legend.

As good as Tomlinson is, I would venture to say another TCU grad was just as dominant in the NFL for his position, that being Bob Lilly.

Tomlinson failed to beat Dickerson's All-Time Record as the Fastest Back ever to reach 10,000 yards which he accomplished in 91 games. Tomlinson is almost a 1,000 yards behind that pace in more games (94 games). That's why he was referred to as "Eric the Great". There has never been a more dominant running back in the NFL during his first 6 years in the league. His numbers during those years are unparalled in NFL Football History.

You almost invite people to research this and see if you're correct with your arrogant statements.
"There has never been a more dominant running back in the NFL during his first 6 years in the league. His numbers during those years are unparalled in NFL Football History."
FYI in his first six seasons LT outgained Dickerson in rushing touchdowns (100-75) total touchdowns (111-79) and total yards (11,996 to 11,337 including rushing and receiving yards). I would say that Dickerson's numbers were not only paralleled, but exceeded by Tomlinson in his first 6 seasons, in these statistical categories. And that's with one game left for LT.
I don't want to take anything away from Dickerson who's one of the all-time greats but your statements are factually incorrect. There is no disputing these facts I just listed, but it's easy to refute this blanket statement.
