It will be a "hot" ticket again when the Cotton Bowl is played in Arlington. The new stadium will be more of a "destination" and will probably land the Arlington Cotton Bowl in the BCS rotation.

Dream on. There is no way that the Cotton Bowl will be added to the rotation. The reason the Cotton Bowl was a major bowl was that the SWC champion was tied to it. Once that was lost, its now a bowl for a bunch of 2nd and third place teams. The Big 8 was tied to the Orange Bowl and thus the 4 newbies were outvoted for location of the Big Bowl. Now the Orange Bowl has BCS "rights" and won't be dislodged.

Dream on. (circa 1968) It's gonna be the "add on" to alleviate the "Two-games-at-the-same-site-in-two-weeks" format.

The Cotton Bowl wont be played in the new cowboys stadium cuz then it wont be called the Cotton Bowl. Renovations to Fair Parks only stadium will be done by 2008 and the stadium should look pretty nice once all the new work is done. The New JUMBO tron looks pretty sweet.

Prediction: the Cowboys' new stadium will be called Tom Landry Memorial Stadium and the playing surface will be called Jerry Jones Field.

The Orange Bowl is no longer played in the Orange Bowl, but in the Dolphins' Stadium, or Joe Robbie Stadium as it should still be called. They moved the game out of the Orange Bowl because it was old, antiquated, and in a less than desirable area of town. Hmm, sounds familiar.

I thought they moved the location of the Orange Bowl because of Stadium Capacity???
i might be wrong but I believe they wanted to get more heads in that stadium...

Joe Robbie Stadium holds 75,000. Capacity of the Orange Bowl was reduced after the Dolphins left to 74,712. It actually held more than JRS when JRS was built.
If you have ever been to the Orange Bowl you know why the game was moved. That area makes Fair Park look like Highland Park.

My grandfather was the Chairman for 3 years and this year is hurting him badly. I am praying for a good turn out. He may have gone to UT but he has given money to SMU since 1962 - ok so academics but SMU is his adoptive school.
