Had a chance to hear Gene Stallings this morning at a Liberty Bowl FCA breakfast. Enjoyed his talk and was pleased to hear him mention a number of great Mustangs from the past. He told a great story about growing up with Raymond Berry and how his committment led him to be a great player for SMU and in the NFL when they always thought he was too slow growing up. Also, Kyle Rote's son was the MC and Stallings made a few mentions of Kyle Sr. as well. Was good to hear the stories about such great athletes as well as great guys from SMU.

Thank you, coach Stallings. But you know what? I'm sick and tired of talking/hearing about 'the good ol' days' of SMU football! I'm ready for a return to greatness!

Does that mean you are going to drop the "1965" in your quest for greatness? Just wondering.

Do you really think its living in the past just because 65 has a picture of his first cheek kiss from the SMU Homecoming Queen 41 years ago. That babe is probably about to start collecting Social Security and getting the Senior Citizen Discount at Denney's by now.

Just giving him some grief and I know he is many years away.

Just to set the record straight: I will receive my AARP membership application in 2007.
Also, the lovely lady kissing me on the cheek is SMU cheerleader Debra Padgitt. If anyone
really knows where she is these days, please PM me.
And if anyone has a suggestion for a new avatar, let me know.

Just not Kathy Bates, please!!! You might check out some of the Avatars on the CUSA website. They have some real great "attributes".
