Where is big10ponyfan...I'm sure he's watchin this game.
The UT D looks lost and Tate is picking apart that secondary...That Iowa front 5 is givin Drew plenty of time
Big 10 started 0-2 but maybe Iowa can pull off the bowl upset.

In another post about last night's Texas Tech win over Minnesota, it was mentioned that Big10PonyFan is recuperating from a back injury and is on heavy meds right now. I'm sure we all wish him a speedy recovery. Seriously.
And...they just showed a graphic on the Alamo Bowl that says Sergio Kindle's hometown is Richardson, TX. Umm...he went to Woodrow Wilson High School in DISD.
C'mon, Iowa...beat the hell outta Texas!

RGV - I think they were referencing Quan Cosby as 2A player of the year (which he was all state on offense, defense and special teams IIRC). They did mention Sergio though as the best two-way player in HS last year.

I believe the quote was "two-way player of the year." He was a linebacker and running back in high school.
Congrats to my Horns. Not the game I hoped for, but a win and the only team in America that can claim 6-straight 10+ win seasons.

First off, GET WELL VERY SOON B10PF.
2nd, Im glad I could be apart of the largest Alamo Bowl crowd and didn't think UT could pull it off. Tate gave it his all in his final college game against his home town team.
3rd, I wish Colt was able to break the record but maybe it was a good thing he didn't.

I thought UT would win in a cakewalk but I'm confident that anyone who saw the game realized that Iowa played very hard last nite. Good comeback win for the Horns.

Tate is from Baytown Lee, I think. Southeast, I believe, of H-town.

Yeah, Tate is from Baytown, an oil refinery town 30 miles southeast of Houston. He went to Robert E. Lee High School, the same school that produced Tommy "The Headless Horseman" Gentry for SMU back in the 1950s.

Baytown happens to be where my second largest residential development is. I will try to get some good football players living in there.

also produced Okie State great Hart Lee Dykes, I think...or was that Bay City?
Not to be confused with Bayside, which gave us Zach Morris and our current backup QB
