Posted: Wed Jan 03, 2007 9:35 pmyea...there was an article on ESPN.com in August about the bowl being moved to the 7th. I believe each conference got extra money for moving the game and it gives them a chance for football fans to watch their game when no one else will be playing.
The International Bowl game in its first year will also get much needed exposure.

Posted: Wed Jan 03, 2007 10:28 pmYes these games do run later than normal but only because it is a BOWL game. The Half times are a lot longer so both teams bands can perform and the BCS games are especially longer for advertisement purposes and has added coverage not neccesarily needed.
