MONEY...MONEY and exposure of CUSA is the reason behind them playing the day before the National Championship game.

yea...there was an article on ESPN.com in August about the bowl being moved to the 7th. I believe each conference got extra money for moving the game and it gives them a chance for football fans to watch their game when no one else will be playing.

The International Bowl game in its first year will also get much needed exposure.

Yes these games do run later than normal but only because it is a BOWL game. The Half times are a lot longer so both teams bands can perform and the BCS games are especially longer for advertisement purposes and has added coverage not neccesarily needed.
