Wow. Win the Super Bowl, have a team that riddled with injury and free agent defections and then retire one year later. How long will he be retired? Probably an analyst job next year with a network (ala Jimmy Johnson). Then what? Now that would be a name coach, I could see being excited about.

He'll wait out the Carolina job to see if Mike Fox gets fired after next season. That way he can coach and be able to stay at home.
