When was the last time TCU beat us in Football or BasketballI know its going on three years since they beat SMU Jwill has never known anything but our complete supremacy over those crosstown whipping boys!
Somewhere out there PonySnob/FrogSnob is puking. He had hoped no one had noticed. But he wants you to know that the chicken fried steaks in Frogland contain 1/2 ounce more gravy than those at SMU thus cementing TCU's overall supremecy.
Re: When was the last time TCU beat us in Football or Basketball
Point taken, but there are plenty of comebacks that a level-headed frog could make. You do have scoreboard on us, but I'm ok with the state of our football program. As for basketball, I was shocked it was as close as it was this year.
I am still waiting to get to go a bowl game as an SMU student/alum......so far it hasn't happened in almost 20 years.
I don't know exactly, but I do know that it happened far more recently than the last time SMU beat North Texas in football or basketball.

You're kidding! SMU hasn't been to a bowl game recently?! Stop the presses! FrogSnob has scooped us again! Vintage Snobspeak. Your forte' is the restating of the obvious negative. Do you annoy the other schools who also regularly/recently beat TCU? Are you a regular on the BYU or Utah boards? Keeping within your genre, here's a restated obvious for you: Patterson has a perspiration problem.
I seem to remember a streak of 6 or 7 straight wins in football and basketball over SMU from, oh, about 1997-2003. But hey, why dwell on that when we have wins over Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Baylor, Louisville, BYU, Southern Miss and Utah all in the past 5 years. Teams you couldn't even dream of beating.
Enjoy your small winning streak while you can, because next September, we're taking you to the woodshed. I doubt you'll get over 100 yards. I doubt you'll even score. It'll be fun. ![]()
Have you no semblence of pride? You seem so desperate when you ignore current head-to-head competition and instead refer to unrelated conquests. I'm sure you can find a "common foe" argument that demonstrates that Ohio State is four touchdowns better than Florida. But you see, head-to-head competition removes the need for all of that nonsensical speculation. And then you commit the last act of desperation by living in the past. Even we don't still speak of the 25 years from 1960-1984 when playing TCU was like playing Sam Houston State. Let's either talk of past achievements or let's talk about today. You decide. (And put a lid on the pathetic desperation as posted on an SMU board. It is unbecoming to even a froggie.)
Good god, you have a ONE game winning streak against us in football. Before that, as I pointed out, we had beaten you 6 or 7 straight times. Do you really want to talk about today? Ok. What is your current national ranking in football? TCU is 21 or 22 depending on the poll. SMU is what, in the 70s or worse? You had a 6-6 season with losses to Rice and North Texas. That's today. That's now. Don't give me this common foe crap when you know we have owned you for the last decade, save one fluke in 2005. We had just beat OU in Norman and yes, we had a let down. But hey, we finished last year ranked 9 and 11. Where did you rank? Oh yeah, in the 70s or worse. I just think its funny to read a post asking when the last time SMU beat TCU when you know we have owned you. Sense of pride? This post perfectly reflects how you judge your program - on how you've done against TCU. We base our program on how we rank nationally, how we do against the Big XII and whether we win our conference. Enjoy mediocrity - we're again going to be considered a front runner for a BCS bowl. You will compete for 4th place in CUSA.
