Second Spring Scrimmage Set for Saturday at 2:30

The Mustangs worked out for two-and-a-half hours, splitting the practice between the Pettus Practice Fields and Gerald J. Ford Stadium. Once inside the stadium, head coach Phil Bennett put his troops through a half scrimmage. Keylon Kincade scored on a pair of runs while Jay Taylor and Derron Brown caught touchdown passes.
"We are getting better," said Bennett. "That is what I am looking for this spring, improvement. We looked sharper today than we did on Tuesday and last Saturday."
SMU will hold a full scrimmage that is open to the public on Saturday inside Ford Stadium. The scrimmage will begin at approximately 2:30 p.m.
Spring practice concludes next week as SMU will practice Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The annual Red-Blue Game will be held on Saturday, April 12 at Ford at 2:00 p.m.
