Malzahn to Tulsa?

Postby ponyte » Mon Jan 15, 2007 8:33 am

Gus Malzahn has been rumored to be the new Co-Offensive coordinator at Tulsa. This is coming out of a Tulsa paper. Malzahn was the head football coach at Springdale AR. He became offensive coordinator (McFadden left, McFadden right takes pure genius) at U of Ark. Since he joined the beloved Razorbacks, he brought 4 highly recruited athletes with him. None of which did much this year and all of them had their parents meet with Lord Broyles after the season. Subsequently, one has transferred to USC and the others are just plain mad.

Heck, this kind of action is better than watching a Fayetteville Hillbillies marathon. Will keep you up to date on this fast breaking story.

One just shutters to think how the beloved Razorbacks will survive a crushing blow such as losing Malzahn. Who but an offensive genius could figure out how to call McFadden left, McFadden right. One doubts there is another offensive genius in the entire nation that will be able to continue that complex offensive strategery. Of course, the beloved Razorbacks did get Mitch Mustain, the kid with the arm of Brett Farve, Terry Bradshaw and Rodger Stabach all rolled into one. And the ability to make things happen like Michael Vick and Vince Young. And the football sense of Steve Spurrier. I know he is the greatest QB ever cause I hear it every blinking day up here in Arkyland!!!!

It is interesting to hear how the Payton Place of NW Arkyland plays out. Players’ parents telling Lord Broyles what to do. Nutt losing the Offensive Coordinator he never wanted to hire. Highly recruited kids leaving. And it will only get better. And, oh, the beloved Razorbacks lose 4 of 5 starting offensive lineman. Watch McFadden have a little less successful season next year and the Razorback faithful blame it on Nutt for losing the offensive genius Malzahn.
