That's pretty funny if it happens. The two just switched jobs and Saban got a raise in pay to go to College while Shula got a cut in pay to go to the pros.

Shula's stellar record at Alabama sure won't be the thing that gets him the job at 26-23 with one good season ('05). Must be his last name getting him the gig.

Maybe they were calling Daddy and the kid answered the phone. I supposed he had to move home with his parents being unemployed and all.

Given that Shula inherited a team coming off NCAA probation with scholarship limits and Fran's hasty exit, he did a creditable job.

I think he did a remarkable job. That is why I find trouble in faulting the coaches jumping ship when many schools are willing to dump the coaches too quick also. Kind of like they need to be moving targets.
