Does anyone know where a custom jersey can be ordered (preferably without spending a million dollars)?
It doesn't really have to be an authentic jersey, per sé, but something that says SMU and can have a specific number requested, and a customized name plate.
I know a lot of parents have t-shirts with their son's name/number, but I'm looking for more of an actual jersey, even if it's a replica type.
Any ideas?

You can buy them from smumustangs.com. Once there, click on the store link. After that, click on Mustang Fans unless you are a Mustang Club member. From there, you can click on replica jersey. You can customize both the number and the name. They are $76.20

You mean there's something worthwhile on that site? The jersey doesn't have that stupid arch logo, does it? Please tell me it has the authentic logo.
On the other hand, I just got my second order from the PonyFans.com Spirit Shop -- great stuff!

Might be the only thing they sell without that stupid arched logo, but I ordered one, and they're pretty nice. Not a bad deal at all.

On a serious note, why do the legacy SWC schools (and some other regional universities) still have the school name above the number on the front of the jersey?
Don't they realize how high school this looks?
Very few schools in the rest of the country do this. I know the NFL and some colleges have small logos on the chest now, but nobody has big letters on the chest like SMU and most of the other SWC schools.
Come on guys - if you are going to wear Gen X colors, you can at least get somewhat professional jersey designs!!!!!!!!

even less stable is when teams abbreviate the name of a state on their jerseys....e.g. "Miss. State"
