After I read where he committed last year, I went to see him play. The kid was huge and the Austin paper considered him to be one of the better high school offensive linemen in Central Texas. I just noticed he is not listed on the current roster. Does anyone know why?

Notice that the Tech walk-on transfer I speculated was Austin Michelson turned out to be correct. Nice size 6-4, 265 but do we really need another TE? We've got 6 plus Fleming (who is much too frail right now for that position). Maybe he has the agility to play in the defensive line? Claims to have turned down a Utah offer out of high school to walk-on at Tech. Was not a high profile recruit but he was on the horizen. I think he made Prep Xtra First Team All Area team as a TE. It will be interesting to see how these marginal Division 1A greyshirts/walkons we are getting from A&M and Tech work out-Michelson, K. J. Ellis, and Chase Kennemer.

no wonder we stocked up on offensive linemen this year. There is just too much attrition at that position from the last couple years. Justin Boren, Martin Guidry, David Allison, and now Lee Gonzalez, am I forgetting anyone?

This is why 40% of every class needs to be BIG MEN.
Thats the REAL DEAL.

yes...the Turner kid who actually played as a true FR (Byron/Brian?). I agree this year's class was important to the future of the program because the OL has been a sore spot for years. If we field a respectable starting 5, there has been little depth

Never wanted to play from day one. I keep telling all of you, we have students playing football, and we need more football players going to school.

Or better yet, football players who pretend to go to school like the good ol days. Lets see......last time we had a team like that we were number two in the country--- cowinky dink?
