You linked to the Safety rankings. Kennedy is listed in the TE rankings and Haywood is listed in the DT rankings.

And, of course, Bobby Chase is in with the WRs.

Nice to see Bartel mentioned. A father of one of his current teammates at Tarleton told me that Richard has done very well there. Hope he makes it in the NFL. He has a great arm. A much better player than McCown so I thnk someone will will draft him.

did he mention Bartel taking off his helmet during the spring game and kicking a teammate in the head?

I believe you mean his teamate headbutting his foot. Lucky for Bartel he wasn't injured by the attack.

Hadn't heard that story but Bartel does have a gun and is a legit 6'3, quite possibly 6'4. Kid is an absolute statue in the pocket though, so not sure how that will affect him. Best of luck to Buster.

he doesn't have the mind set to be a professional QB, he didn't have the mind set/ compusre to be a Division 1 QB... I've Richard since we were freshmen in high school and he has always been a head case and a coaches worst nightmare. he is a great person but not a good QB. he has one of the most powerful arms i have ever seen (baseball and football), but he just can't control his emotional outbursts

Exactly. The problem was never with his arm.

or trying to stay on your feet behind our o-line when you arent mobile.

i think a guy's attitude, work ethic, and desire can always be worked on by him if he chooses. your throwing strength can only improve so much, and bartel is simply gifted in that area. i am hoping for the best for him.

I'll be sure to let you know what round he was drafted in. My guess is he goes to the Bears in the 3rd-4th round. They need a QB bad. Vince Young has proven you don't need to be Einstein to QB in the NFL.

I guess I'm sensing sarcasm here? I'd be shocked to see Bartel in Round 3 or 4. No way do I see him ahead of at least 8 QB's. Quinn, Russell, T. Smith, Stanton, Kolb, the kid from Stanford, Palmer, and the kid from Boise St. I could however see the potential for the shocker of him going ahead of weak armed, short Chris Leak (who is no doubt a second day selection). That would only be if he really impresses though. I would be equally unshocked if he went undrafted all together.

***Disclaimer- There must be some reason that I have a desk job and am not an NFL scout so all these are purely my opinion/guesses and may very well be completely wrong!***

It's hard to judge Bartel since he played on 2 bad teams. Based on arm strength and size he will get a shot in the NFL. He may not be fast but there are NFL QBs that I could outrun. He'll get a shot somewhere. The great genius Jerry Jones, in all his infinite wisdom, may draft him and become his personal guru. TO could take him under his wings and show him how head cases do it in the NFL.
