There are rumors out of Tuscaloosa that Coach Mike Price is gone and that AD Mal Moore is right behind him. We'll see...

Jeez, between him and the Iowa State hoops coach, chugging beer and kissing college girls (not a crime, but I bet his wife didn't dig thos snapshots in the paper) -- ever wonder where players get their sense of judgement?

What has Coach Price allegedly done, by the way?

Early reports are that Jim Donnan is the front runner for the job but has not been formally contacted.

Price's school credit card ended up in a prostitute's hands- but it's unclear at the moment if he got a hooker, or if it was stolen by a hooker, or both. He was at a pro-am golf tournament in Fla. when it happened.

How the mighty can fall? These guys are paid millions of dollars to coach at these BCS schools and they begin to think they can do what they want. The good news for the Tide and ISU is that this is at a time when it could all blow over by fall. Alabama and Iowa State are not Notre Dame. The ISU situation is much worse, partying (drinking) with underage opposing players and women after a loss is pretty bad. The Alabama situation is just bad luck.

Wow - he's been working at Bama without having signed his contract? Bet he'll regret that move. If the allegations prove to be true, and he gets run out of there, the school won't owe him a nickel, will it?

Just out of curiousity, how old is Coach Price? I wonder if he gets another shot, if this speculation proves to be true.

Otto- IIRC, Price is 59. I would have to think if he was invovled with a prostitute his college days are over. I don't see how Bama can afford to keep Price in light of their already tarnished image of late.

What coaching options does Bama have at this point, assuming that Price is fired?
There can't be too many.

The question is "Can they coach?". If so, both will be back with a hand slap. Larry E has long been known as a party guy. A 57 year old with a prostitue-who got hurt? All will blow over except I wouldn't want to face their wives if I was them.

The prostitute was hurt? I thought she just got caught with his credit card. This thing gets dicier by the day.

Did you see the report today that after he chugged some drinks at a strip club, the woman in his hotel room ordered $1,000 of food and drinks for the room - one of everything on the menu.

Those were two hungry people in that room!
