UNIVERSITY PARK – SMU athletic director Jim Copeland said Thursday he has had no contact with Kansas or anyone representing the school regarding the Jayhawks' search for a new athletic director. The Lawrence (Kansas) Journal-World recentl mentioned Copeland as a possible candidate.

Change in draw pits SMU against TCU
UNIVERSITY PARK – One day after the SMU men's tennis team was selected to face No. 20 Georgia in the NCAA tournament at 10th-seeded Texas A&M, the Mustangs learned that an NCAA administrative error has forced a change in draw. The 37th-ranked Mustangs will now play No. 24 TCU in the first round at second-seeded Baylor. TCU was originally scheduled to play South Florida, which will now play Georgia at Texas A&M. SMU lost twice to TCU this year, 6-1. Dates and times are to be determined.
