Worst 25 College Mascots

Postby The Stampede » Wed Mar 21, 2007 10:36 am

This is absolutely hilarious - I couldn't stop laughing at it...our conference mates Tulsa, Tulane and Rice made the list.

I saw this on the CUSA website, some of the funniest stuff you will ever read and is a perfect testament to why the internet was invented. Everyone needs to check it out!

Any "top" 25 list of worst mascots that does not include that bacterial infection/sleestak thing over in Fort Worth, not to mention the frightening plastic headed cowboy up at OSU, is completely bogus.

Why do you have to include sleestak in that reference? We are a proud species.

Wow. This was my favorite by far:

Providence Friars: If the friar is supposed to be a religious, pious figure, then why does he look like he's going to rape you? (The password is Fidelio, by the way.)

Classic stuff. The Tulsa and Stanford ones were hilarious as well.

Of course when the mention the best mascots Peruna keeps getting passed over for Bevo and Uga. We need to start a campaign, Peruna rules. I mean what's so great about a big side of beef on the side of the field. Who cares about a stupid bulldog. It really ought to be between Peruna and Ralphie for the crown. And we all know that in a showdown, Peruna has at least one kill to his credit.

In all fairness to our horse, there's a big difference between cool real mascots and lame fake ones. Our current fake mascot is strictly middle-of-the-pack stuff. The guy doing it a few years back was much more active and fun to watch.

When Peruna becomes an actual Mustang you might have an argument.
