Posted: Tue Apr 10, 2007 9:53 pmI wuz Dere! Saw nearly all of Dandy Don's Games. He was, without a doubt, the most exciting football player I have ever seen. When we failed to win the national championship in..what year?..58? 9? Sports Illustrated had an article about us and called it "The failure of the star system" They had a cartoon showing Meredith running for his life from opposing linemen while OUR offensive line lay on the grass pulling up daisies saying "Let Meredith do it". Too much publicity prior to the season everyone thought. Anyway, he could do it all (almost!)
