His stock has been climbing. Some even thought he'd sneak into the end of the first round.

the ESPN guys were stunned. Loved the reaction from the Eagles fans. I think he is more of a product of the system, but you never know with these guys. Glad to see CUSA got some love early in the draft!

I'd still pick Kolb over that no talent [deleted] clown Brady Quinn.
and congrats to all the other CUSA players that got drafted. Allison, Marshall RB, and Higgins

Kolb is an excellent player. Brady Quinn would have gone 4th to the Browns if not for a coin flip. He lost $20 million as a result. Both will have good careers.

Jordan Palmer went 7th round to the Redskins. I think Aundrae Alison from ECU (who burned us all day) went in the 5th round.

I was shocked by this. I think Beck and Stanton are much better prospects, but all you have to do is convince 1 team that you can play. Still, it was very surprising.

Reed I respect you opinions but Philly sees Kolb as a better fit in their west coast offense.
UofH runs one of the most innovative offenses in the country. Kolb has a stronger arm than the other 2. He is a decent runner and has a quick release. They just saw him as a better fit for what they want to do with their offense. McNab is still the guy but maybe Kolb can come along and take over one day.

ok well kiper is ripping the pick... not suprising, but they didnt draft him to start now, or the next 3 years so it doesnt really mmater. needless to say the kid has an arm, and can read coverages with the best of them... a west coast offense will fit him just fine, and as a 2nd round pick who only needs to worry about holding a clipboaird and learn the offense (with no pressure of being the starter), he has a chance of sticking around...
as for the cowboys:
they are talking about turning isaiah stanback into a wr... (didn't see that coming

) but passing on brady, makes it apparent that romo is the QB. kiper gave them a high rating for this year... plus they get the first round pick from the browns next year...

i thought beck, stanton, and edwards are all better than kolb. philly will eventually see he's a bust down the road and he'll become a free agent tossed around qb, retiring in five or six years
