A&M is a very youg team that beat UT last season. They would hang 60 on SMU with no sweat, playing their backups in the second half. A&Ms best players are all sophomores and juniors this season.

Good job with your in-depth little analysis there, but recruits just see the number of people that went pro.

If you want me to give you the number of Aggies vs the number of Mustangs who are currently in the NFL I'll look it up. Why do you guys do this to yourselves? You can't win the A&M vs SMU argument in football or basketball. Leave A&M alone and I'll stop giving you facts to counter your position.

The fact that they have more in the league currently is irrelevant. The fact is, their rate of producing pro players
for this year is lower.

Then why were we so bad this year?

because we have terrible fans, and we dont have 90,000 people at our games to give us some type of home field advantage

We weren't terrible. 6-6 is not where this team should be happy, and it's not where this team should be, but 6-6 is not a catostrophic year. This team was should have won against Houston, should have won against Rice, and should have won against UTEP while losing those games by less than 20 points combined. This was a good team that fell a little short in multiple situations, by it is by no means a terrible year.

I don't know about you but I felt terrible after the Rice game. The season was a complete catastrophe given our schedule. We should have been in a bowl. Now I know how the Mavs fans feel. When you fall short of your goals it is a major disappointment. Last year was disappointing by any standard. Getting a player drafted doesn't make up for it.

Yeah, but our alums have Southern Methodist University on our diplomas, The Aggies have Texas Agriculture and Mechanics University. In the end, they'll always be Aggies.

I never said that it did. And i felt drained in the worst possible way after the Rice game. But 6-6 is not terrible. 0-12, 3-8, those are terrible. We underperformed, but did not have a terrible year.
