Worst case

Looking over the d-1 conferences these are the schools that I think are in imminent danger of dropping football:
Temple
Troy State
Tulane
UAB
Houston
Wyoming
MAC except Marshall (13 schools)
SBC (8 schools)
SJSU
I'm not saying that all of these schools will shut down football this or next year but many if not all will in the very near future. Some others will undoubtedly follow.
Those are 28 schools.
117-28= 89 schools left in d-1.
89-64= 25 left as non-BCS schools to play patsy for the BCS schools and get whatever crumbs are left over.
Maybe eventually just a hanful of schools will be left as non-BCS schools. Maybe none. If so it's going to be very strange. Almost an NFL kind of league. I guess that's what they want.
Well that's a worst case scenario. May or may not happen. I hope not. I love watching college football but events are transpiring that will forever change the game.
