I am not sure if this was already posted but I was marking my calender with all the SMU and Dallas Cowboys games since I have season tickets for both, and the night SMU plays Houston on ESPN, November 4th, is also the night the Cowboys play at Philly on Sunday Night Football.
I'll watch SMU, record the Cowboys, but it'll probably suck as far as ratings go for SMU in the local TV market.

Yea man, I just got DVR too! The ratings on the SMU/UH game are going to be horrible because of NFL Football. Most of Dallas won't even know/care SMU is playing! I'll be watching SMU first, and always.

Take it one step further: watch the Mustangs ONLY.

Tough to go head to head with the local NFL team in any market. Hopefully, the Pokes will have a bad year (and conversely my Redskins will have a great year) and that the Sunday night game against the Eagles is a blow-out by either team early on.

I am very confused by this. It was my understanding that the reason why ESPN was having a college football game on Sunday night was that it would be during the World Series (if it went to 7 games) and they didn't schedule NFL games that Sunday to avoid a conflict.

I guess that was a bunch of baloney. I have no idea why there would be an ESPN Sunday night college game up against the NFL.

Doesn't matter if we have a bad year. We tend to beat the Redskins anyway.
