Anybody else tired looking around DFW sports bars/restaurants festooned with every stinkin' school in the stinkin' country but SMU?
I call on everyone to place an SMU pennant in your joint(s) this summer. The owners are willing if approached - at least that's been my experience.
Do it everywhere, but especially in the DFW area.
To have no sports bar presence and accept it is truly weak.
(Oh, and save it. I know. "We'll have a presence when we start winning. Blah, Blah, Blah." I ain't waiting for that. Maybe showing this type of spirit comes FIRST.)
One more thing, in advance: To the haters - B*te me.

Nothing bad ever comes from putting forward a little extra effort.

You'd think that the new MARKETING guy from SWAir would have thought of that already...

If it's been your experience that they put them up when you ask, then why do you say there aren't any out there?

The Wings 'N' More location in Corpus Christi features pennants from schools across the country, along with pro teams (and the rock group Three Dog Night...for some reason). They do have a nice-looking SMU pennant, but you really have to look for it or you won't see it.

Would anyone object to me approaching some sports bars in Houston where I live? Just PM the pennant you want up and I will buy some online and do it as football season nears.

First let me say, it's always an extreme pleasure dealing with a mental giant such as yourself, jt - it keeps me on my toes.
The point to my confusing missive is this, grasshopper: SMU fans aren't asking. If they did, SMU pennants would grace every establishment in DFW.
Keep thinkin' (about hate crimes), jt. You're good at that.

Cecil's BBQ on South Orange Avenue (in Orlando) has a nice older SMU pennant along with some great Nolan Ryan and Dallas Cowboys memorabilia.
