Kick'em 'Stangs!!!

Isn't that an old marketing failure? Oh, that's right. You're old. Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

When was the last time someone said that we had the potential to be in a championship game? And how confusing would a USM vs SMU game be for national media?

hmm I'd forgotten that SMU at Houston was a Sunday Nite game-may hold down SMU attendance quite a bit.

Agreed. Sure would be nice if everyone who showed up for the Rice game last year showed up for this game at Robertson Stadium, though.

UofH attendance could be down, too...the weekend jail release won't be until 6 a.m. Monday at the Harris County Jail.

Plus it is on television. Over/Under for SMU attendance from outside Houston is 7. Counting Houston alum it is 19.

Why would a Sunday game hold down SMU attendance? Would any SMU fans really have to go to "work" on Monday? Plus, you can rub it in on the UH grad that comes to clean your hotel room Monday morning.

Ludwig von Beethoven that's some high praise. As pumped as I am for the season.... I just don't believe it yet. I'm always in a we're going to prove the critics wrong, blah, blah, but now I'm afraid we might let ol' Pete down.

I'm announcing it now, Austin area Pony fans there will be a SMU USM watching party at my new place on my new HD. Yep I'll be 29 in two weeks and this is the first place I have had on my own. (Unless you count the year I spent house sitting my parents house when my dad was on sabbatical in Europe... which I don't.) And LF68 and the recently Mrs. LF68 have the house to themselves... an empty nest. ;)

I'm sure I'll have other watching parties, but mark your calendars.

I don't know that we will have to worry about attendance as much as curiosity/accidental viewership in the DFW market. The Cowboys play that night too.

So?

Mustangs on national TV. Put the game on and hide the remote.

Hey I'm not talking about any of us, unless you are suggesting a door-to-door breaking and entering campaign. I just mean the, "ah well the Vikings look they have this one well in hand over the Dolphins... I wonder what's on ESPN" crowd. Prolly won't get too many of those in the local area.
