I think this should have an option for both bc its very possible they could both go to a bowl this season. Dodge in first as head coach and PB in his 6th...

Guess my poll wasn't a good idea.

Your poll I like but it entails years of humiliating the upper echelon of the Sun Belt

That's not really a fair question. NTSU could win their 4 conference home games (Middle Tenn. St., Western Kentucky, Louisiana-Monroe, Florida Atlantic) then win one conference road game (Troy, Arkansas St., Florida International, Louisiana-Lafayette) and win the conference at 5-7.

UNT doesn't have the talent to win the Sun Belt this year...
middle tenn, ark state and troy will probably all beat UNT.

Its not beyond the realm of possibility that SMU and UNT would have to meet again in the New Orleans Bowl. The Sunbelch Conference is a one bid conference, so they'd have to win to go.

I think you are referring to the ShunnedBelt. That's the conference where you go when you can't get in a better conference on your own merits and you've been blackballed by members of better conferences that you hoped would help you overcome your meritorious shortcomings.

It is very fair. CUSA has 6 bowl bids. The Sun Belt has 1 I believe. Phil Bennett is in his 6th year. Dodge is in his first. NTSU is coming off 5 victories in two seasons. Plus NTSU is NTSU and SMU is SMU and has a much better tradition, facilities and assets to recruit with. What not fair? Stop bending over backwards to explain SMU ineptitude. There is no excuses left for Bennett to NOT go to a bowl this season. Dodge on the other hand has numerous logical reasons he won't.

We know there's not.

With six bowls for CUSA this year, you probably would need a losing record to not get one.

Yet another thread on the SMU board, posted by an SMU fan, discussing UNT football.
The obsession continues...
