Workouts

Postby PonySnob » Thu Jul 12, 2007 11:02 am

What kind of workouts are the players who are in Dallas participating in? Are they only allowed to do conditioning/weight lifting under supervision and any type of player drills have to be organized and run by the players (7-7 or QB/WR throwing sessions)? How much contact can the coaches have with the players during the summer months prior to practice in August?

Vic can head up the weights and conditioning, but the 7/7 drills must be conducted on their own. The guys know what plays to call and what defenses to run. The o-line and d-line also pair up to work on footwork and pash rushing/blocking skills. As long as everyone stays involved, these workouts can be as good as practice.

I know on Monday's Vic has the guys running 16 110's. That's just running. I walked in to see them lifting and he had some freshman lineman puking in a trash can. He is definitely getting after those boys! I had never heard of any players Pre-Vic regiment throwing up just from weights, so those some intense workouts
Michael Jordan plays ball. Charles Manson kills people. I talk.
